Samsung, Giving the highest storage capacity
Here's a good news to everyone who has gigantic amount of files to store out there. Samsung, one of the strongest technology provider from South Korea has just presented a hard drive that can aculate up to almost 16 terabytes at the Flash Memory Summit in California. The solid-state drive comes in a small case, with an exact size of 6.35-cm.
Though there were high storage capacity drives already released by HGST and Western Digital, this newly introduced one still holds the first place as of the moment, capable of saving 15.36 TB to be accurate.
Apperently, a technology site reported that the said device's price is roughly $5,000 or so, Samsung did not give any information about the cost and availability yet. But owning the world's by far, largest drive would give you more benefits than what the estimated price appears to offer, right? The convenience of storing all the files you need and the urance that you don't have to compromise some other files just to give enough e for the new one is more than anything else!
At the Summit, Samsung released a server with 48 solid-state drives installed which means it can store approximately 290 days worth of viewing a high-definition videos equivalent to almost 4 million four mb music files.
